Yes - A visa is required for travel to Algeria

A valid passport and visa are required for missionary travel to Algeria; a business visa is issued for this purpose.

Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Algeria, with at least one blank passport page available for Algerian visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Algeria visas.

Algeria Visa Application Form:

Two signed Algeria visa application forms. After placing your order, fill out the application forms included in your Visa Application Kit.
Please note: Applications must be typed in all caps.

Photo Requirements:

Two standard passport-size photos glued or stapled to the application form. Photos must be recent, frontal-view, of the same batch, untouched, taken on white background and showing applicant wearing no glasses of any kind, except for prescription eyewear. Please write first and last names of applicant in pencil on back of photos.

Letter Of Invitation:

A letter of invitation from the host organization or sponsor in Algeria explaining the relationship to the applicant and the purpose of travel to Algeria. In addition, the letter must indicate the length of stay, place of stay, and host’s name and contact information.

Business Cover Letter:

Letter from church or sponsoring organization in the US, on letterhead addressed to: Embassy of Algeria, Visa Section, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant’s status/position held in the organization, clearly stating the purpose of visit to Algeria. The letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in Algeria.

Proof of Travel Arrangements:

Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket showing entry and departure from Algeria.
